Listening to the Rain, copyright Alma Drake 2024, Creative Commons (Attrib.)
Rain is important to me.
So important that I have developed a strong relationship with the local Rain God, who likes being called RainFather, and Storm Singer and Sky Shaker and Life Bringer. He’s kinda old school I guess … but he’s so freakin’ cool at the same time. I have written about him before.
This song was written in August of last year, and somehow I don’t think I managed to post it here, which seems curious. So I’m posting it now, because it’s a tenderly rainy day with chuckling thunder and gentle lightning. But the day I wrote this song was after a night of serious storm action, which was delicious to behold.
Enjoy!
